The California Highway Patrol is the State Patrol of California. Even though the Department has the name "Highway Patrol" in the title, it has achieved a lot of arrangements with the Cities to patrol on their streets aswell. As a Member of the CHP you will spend most of your time enforcing regular Traffic Duties, monitoring Traffic on Highway, perform Traffic Stops and write Traffic Citations. The Certifications you can achieve within the CHP are:

Motorcycle Unit, Aviation Unit, Special Weapons and Tactics Unit, K9-Unit and CHP GTF (Gang Task Force).
